Deep, dark, but not opaque ruby red. The aromas are juicy & lifted with delicate red-fruit/dark plum & leafy notes developing into black-cherry character. The wine is mid-weight with good freshness & initially quite gripping tannins. Juicy, dark-cherry, dark-plum & dark licorice fruit core smothers the tannins. Fresh acidity brings out notes of leafy cassis. Alcohol is balanced, the wine has fair length & chocolatey notes on the finish.

Brilliant colour of good intensity with very slight notes of development. The dominant aromas are crunchy damson, black peppercorn. Fresh fruit returns on the palate with wild plum, and a definite balance between the tannic structure, the freshness coming from the acidity and the fat and smoothness provided by the alcohol. A great classic, full of elegance and finesse.

Founded in 1661 by Pierre de Rauzon, Chateau Rauzon- Segla, situated in the heart of the Margaux appellation, tends with the upmost care and respect to its vines. With its unique experience in luxury goods, Chanel, who acquired the property in 1994, endeavors to exalt the unique and precious qualities of this great vineyard. Segla, its second wine, is extremely well balanced and fruity, the aromas are profound and intense in its youth. After a few years in bottle, they reveal the subtlety and breed of its origins.

From the beginning of September until the end of October, the weather was ideal for the ripening of the grapes: sunny during the day and cool at night. We took advantage of this beneficial weather to refine the tannins of the skins. The fruit harvested intact, and the wines expressed an aromatic and tasteful purity. The colour is deep, the balance excellent: a reasonable alcoholic degree with a moderate but present acidity. Finally, smooth, velvety tannins and a dense, fresh finish make 2015 a gourmet vintage!
